New Addition

Riggins Scott Peterson 7lbs 3oz 19in born at 4:27pm

My baby boy finally decided to come and see us! I had been having contractions off and on Sunday, but they weren't really strong and I definitely wasn't uncomfortable! I was afraid that my body had stopped progressing. I was at a four the week before and when I went to my appointment on Monday I was preparing to hear no progress. While getting ready that morning I kept having the feeling that I needed to take the bags with me just in case. I kept ignoring it and decided that if I took them that I would jinx it and would be mad when I had to take them out of the car when I got home. I was really, I mean really glad when the Dr said I was at a five. He was worried how easily I got to a five that he went and called the birth center. He came back into the room and said are you ready to have this baby!! I was so excited that's exactly what I wanted to hear. But at the same time reality hit and I was nervous. I was glad that I did end up taking the stuff with me. Here is how easy it went to get the little guy here.....

11:30 checked into the hospital
12:30 started pitocin
1:30 Dr broke my water
2:30 got my epidural-lucky enough to get it twice. Hurt so bad it was ridiculous
3:30 at a seven- epidural really not working, except for my left leg
4:00 complete and ready to push.
4:27 Riggins Scott Peterson was placed on my chest healthy, perfect, with his sweet spirit sent
straight from heaven!

I progressed so fast at the end, and needed to push. I was feeling so much pressure, the nurse called the Dr, but he hadn't called back yet. So I couldn't push. Are you kidding me?! The Dr came in and asked if I was ready to push. It only took three sets of pushes and he was here!! I couldn't believe how easy it was! Teague was 16 hours of labor and I pushed for 2 1/2 hours. So five hours of labor was a piece of cake. Plus I didn't have any stitches this time. Recovery has been so easy and I am so thankful for that.

I can't believe the instant love you feel for the sweet baby that you barley met. And I guess the reason all I could picture was Teague when I wondered what he would look like..... is because he looks exactly like him. I can't believe how much they look alike. Even their mannerisms are a lot alike. He even has his daddy's dimples, I love it. My two boys are so special to me. I already can't imagine my life without baby Riggins. He is such a sweet spirit and we are enjoying him so much. He has been such an easy baby, so content.

Big brother Teague is loving him so much. He is so gentle and kind with him. He loves to hold him and give him kisses. Teague is always covering him with blankets and has even shared his cows with him believe it or not. On the other hand he is holding a little grudge against me. He has been quite the handful, and won't let me do anything for him. It makes me feel bad, I hope that we can be friends again real soon. Things have gotten a little better, he just needs mommy time. I have found it really hard to divide my time. I love the newborn stage and just want to sit and hold him. This stage flies by way to fast, and I want to cherish every moment. Then on the other hand my two year old needs me to hold and love him. He needs me to wrestle on the floor, and splash in the bath tub, and sing songs with him. Teague thinks that the baby is eating from my tummy. He tries to lift up the blanket, he says hes checkin on the baby.

We ended up having to stay in the hospital for 3 days!! We had to stay because he wasn't eating very good, so they wanted to make sure things were going good before they sent us home. Being in the hospital makes the days go by so slow. We were so ready to leave and take our sweet baby to meet his big brother.

Holding my precious baby boy! I love him so much!

Proud daddy!

Big Brother Teague! He was so excited to see his little brother.

We took Riggins to the nursery so that Teague could see his baby brother. He kept asking if he could hold him.

Ready to leave the hospital.

Daddy and Riggins more than ready to leave the hospital!

Looking just like Kyle's baby pictures. I love this picture

All dressed and ready to go home.

He is so small in his car seat

He was so excited we couldn't get Riggins out of the car seat fast enough.

Riggins better get used to the kisses and Teague being in his face constantly!!
He was talking in his baby talk and kissing him like crazy. We are teaching him to be very soft and gentle.

My two little boys look so much alike its crazy! Here they are in the same outfit.

AND THEN..........
We took him to the Dr on Friday to make sure things were still going good. They did a biliruben test on him and come to find out it was way too high. When we left the hospital that Wednesday he was at a 4, Friday he was at 18.5. I had a feeling when the nurse was drawing his blood that it was going to be too high. So needless to say we ended up back in the hospital. Mommy had a really hard time, I cried when the Dr said we needed to go to the hospital, then I cried again getting him undressed and putting him in this awful thing with foam glasses covering his eyes. I think the worst part was watching him just lay in there and not being able to hold and snuggle my little baby! Daddy really didn't like seeing him like that either. He came to the hospital and the look on his face showed how his heart was breaking when he saw his little buddy in there. We had to stay 24 hours so they could monitor and check him. They came in every 6 hours to poke his little heel, checked his temperature, and vitals a ridiculous amount of times. By the end he was so sick of being poked and bugged, he was not liking laying there all by himself the whole time. Kyle and I talked about how thankful we were that it was kinda minor, and not watching out little guy in the NICU or something. My heart goes out to those parents who do have to go through that. I had such a hard time putting those nasty goggles on his little eyes when he had them open. I always waited until he went back to sleep before covering up those sweet little eyes. I took him back to the Dr this Monday and his levels were back up again, but not high enough to send us to the hospital. So we are just watching him closely. The Dr wasn't too worried about his levels when he saw he had gained 4oz in 2 days!! Guess hes chunkin up!

He couldn't wait to get out of the hospital.

My dad had this on the door when we got back from the hospital.

We are thoroughly enjoying this sweet baby boy!! I love my two precious babies and can't imagine life without them. They make me so happy, I'm so proud to be their mom. Now I think I need to go snuggle my two babies!!

Hopefully Coming Soon

Hoping, Wishing, Praying, Thinking....... Baby Peterson will be coming soon!!

I thought that I would write down some of my feelings about this precious baby boy that is hopefully coming soon! I am so anxious for him to come, and nervous for the challenges. I love the newborn stage and their precious little spirit! I keep trying to imagine what he is going to look like. All I can picture is my sweet baby Teague in the hospital so maybe they are going to look quite similar. I can't wait to hold him in my arms and kiss his little cheeks.

I do have some reservations..... and that is how Teague is going to handle all of these changes. I think he already senses that things are changing, and his reaction to this is to be a bit of a monster. He is really testing my patience, and is more than I can handle these days. He has already staked out his claim on all of his special toys, and his silky blanket. I think he feels he needs to do this because when getting out all of his clothes I told them they were his and now brother was going to wear them. He is pretty nervous now that baby brother is going to take over everything. I don't want him to feel pushed away or left out. We read books and snuggled in bed last night, and I can't help but think when its going to be the last time with just the two of us.

I love this boy, he makes me smile and is my whole world!!

My little snuggler. He is going to be such a good big brother. He keeps asking me to grab the baby out so he can hold him.

I have been dilated to a 4 since Monday, and quite honestly was hoping things would have progressed a little faster! The unknown and the waiting game is so hard for me. All day and all night I just keep thinking when is he going to come. I am having an easier time waiting because right now I am in Rupert at my parents house, and Kyle is in Pocatello trying to finish up a house. Where I am so close and don't know when he is coming the Dr (and I suppose us) felt better being a bit closer to the hospital. Kyle is keeping his phone close and said he would drive 110mph. We had an ultrasound on Wednesday to check and see how big he was since Teague was a little bigger than I could handle. I cringed and my stomach dropped when she said he was already 7lb 4oz. The tech said wow he is a big boy!! Great not what I wanted to hear but I guess bring it on. Just to compare things Teague was 7lb 5oz at 39 weeks. Right now I am 37 weeks, oh the joy of not being able to be induced until you are 39 weeks!

Teague and I have been hanging out at my parents house the last few days. Teague loves being out here, and it has been nice having extra help! I even got to have an awesome photo shoot with Jerica yesterday. She is so creative and takes the best pictures. I was kinda hesitant, but am so glad that I did it. I will have the pictures to cherish forever! I am now sad that I don't have any like this from when I was pregnant with Teague. I get teary eyed just looking at them, she captured some very precious moments.
I have enjoyed being pregnant and love feeling his little movements. Although now days they are pretty intense. It is such a miracle having a baby inside of you that you have created. I don't want to wish it away so quickly, because I know that I will miss his movements inside of me! I did that with Teague, even though I was holding him in my arms it was like I was empty not having him inside of me. On the other hand my poor body is so swollen and I think my toes are going to pop off any second. I can't wait to hold you little baby Peterson, please come soon. Help Mom out and not wait until I am 39 weeks! I love you so much already and can't wait until you come and join our little family, making us a family of 4!! Hopefully an update to come soon with pictures of our new little guy!

Teague Update

Teague is growing and changing so much everyday. He talks so clearly and is putting sentences together like crazy! He loves to sing and dance. He and mommy enjoy reading books, and learning new songs together. He is so smart that it's scary!! He can be playing not even paying attention to us, then 2 seconds later repeat our conversation!! He is a total daddy's boy and can't wait until daddy gets home from work.

His favorite thing is to play outside and check on the puppies. We take Abby treats and check on the puppies 100 times a day. He also loves to tease his mom. He asks a million questions about anything and everything. He likes to know what everyone and everything is doing. We're learning the ABC's and counting. He does really well if it is his idea, otherwise forget it. He is a total pro at whining, and throwing fits lately!! Mom doesn't handle it very well. He refers to himself as Teaguers, guess I call him that too much. "I do it" is a phrase I hear quite often. He really doesn't watch cartoons, he watches rodeos and a channel that has tons of ranching things on it. He calls them Teaguers shows.

He is my little mess maker. Whether eating, or playing you can guarantee that there will be a huge mess to clean up after!

He is my little stud muffin! Lookin so much like his daddy!

My little goof ball. He is constantly making us laugh at things he does and says. We were shopping and this is what I turned around to see!

He has to wear his sunglasses and hat everywhere. He has noticed that his dad pretty much always has his hat and sunglasses on so therefore it is a must for Teague. He finds his dads shoes and tells me that he is going to work with Tim. (a guy kyle works with)

-The other day Teague crawled up on the kitchen table where there was some money grabbed a $100 dollar bill and asked if it was Jesus.
-His new phrase (learned from dad) is, "Dats what I'm takin bout"
-I asked him the other day while checking on the puppies if he liked the puppies. He said no mom Teaguers LOVE the puppies.
-I don't think he really understands the whole baby thing. But he spread his blanket out on the floor and asked if baby brother could sit by him. I said we'll have to wait until baby comes first. I told him that mommy had to go to the hospital first, then we would bring baby brother home to him. The only thing he needed to know was which door he would be coming in.
-Now he tells me to grab the baby out. (If only it were that easy)
Here is a good example of it not being his idea! Itsy Bitsy spider is his favorite song.

We love our little Teague Man and enjoy watching him learn and grow. If only time would slow down a bit. Two year olds are a lot of fun, and bring new excitement everyday!

Dreams Do Come True

Saturday was the day Teague has been waiting for for 3 whole months. We have been telling him about it for so long that I bet he didn't think we were ever really going to go. It was so neat watching him get so into it. I swear that he didn't even blink, he just kept yelling and clapping! Our seats were right next to the bucking chutes, 5 rows from the floor. They were pretty sweet seats. The people next to us couldn't believe how interested and enthralled he was. He was so good the whole 3+ hours, and just sat there and took it all in. If only church could work this way too!!
Look how intense his eyes are.
Enjoying the rodeo together.
After the rodeo we sat and watched them clean things up and move all the stock around. He stuck his little head through the gate and told a guy who was taking down a sign, "Hey Cowboy". He looked so cute in his wranglers, and wouldn't put down the new long horn bull Grandpa bought him. I love how much he loves being around cattle and horses! As long as he doesn't get any ideas about wanting to actually do this for a living or even wanting to try it out one day. Mom would not be ok with this!

Happy Birthday!

April 2nd my little man turned 2! Yikes, I can't believe how fast time flies. On his birthday we took his most favorite food "dondoes" (Doughnuts) to dad and the guys at work. He got to choose which ones he wanted, and he even got his own sack to carry! He was so excited telling everyone in the store he had "dondoes" in his bag. We got to meet up with Grandma and Ellie for a while, before they headed to Idaho Falls for Dance Competition. He was lucky enough to eat at McDonald's for lunch with his buddy Deegan. We then waited until Dad got home from work to head to the best place in the world CAL Stores! He asks to go there everyday, he enjoys wandering around and looking at absolutely everything! He managed to walk out of the store with 2 new baby calves to add to his collection. He couldn't believe his luck. We finished off the night with dinner at Pizza Hut, another fav. When tucking him into bed that night he told kyle and I that it was a SUPER DAY!! He is such a sweet heart and really isn't hard to please at all. In fact I think the doughnuts and CAL Stores would have been enough for him. We had a small party on Saturday he loved having people at house. He got pretty spoiled by everyone!!

He didn't know what to think about everyone singing "Happy Birthday" to him. But loved blowing out his candles! So we lit them a few times for him to keep blowing them out.
Teague was a lot of fun this year because he actually understood what was going on. He enjoyed opening presents, and eating his cake. Although he is a frosting and goodies on top boy. No need for the actual cake. Happy Birthday TEAGUE MAN we sure do love you!!

My Life

What my life consists of right now...........

-House has been on the market for 1 year & 2 months. Finally now that I honestly don't care if it sales, we start showing it like crazy. Honestly, now I am completely fine with it not saling!! People quite calling and giving me 15 minutes to clean the house up and waddle out the door!!

-Dang dog has NINE, yes 9 stinkin puppies. No it was not something that was planned. Yes they are mutts. But really cute ones at that!! German Shorthair and Lab. They will be sweet hunting dogs! So if anyone wants a cute little puppy, or hunting partner let us know.

-It wont quite snowing. I am so ready for spring and I keep waking up to SNOW every morning. My little boy and I are in need of some serious sunshine. We're driving each other crazy in the house everyday!

-Driving to Burley and back every Monday for Doctor appointments. Chose to go to a Dr in Burley thinking that our house would have sold by now. Thought I was way ahead of the game at the time. But now I'm just annoyed with it. My doctor is so wonderful that its worth it though. I just hate that gas it going up again!

-Kyle is working and making some money, so we can't complain. But the money just isn't there like it was before. People are starting to build houses again, but everyone is looking for work so the bids are EXTREMELY low. It's been pretty rough with a baby coming, you know they aren't cheap!! A $5,000 maternity deductible is kicking our butts!

-So ready for this baby to be here!! I don't want to wish it away cuz he'll be here before I know it. But I can't breathe, move, and getting fatter by the second! In fact to help lift my spirits my husband let me know today that I was huge, yes his words not mine!! He said you are so much bigger than you were with Teague! Thanks Hun! I haven't noticed.

-But today around 8:30 my mom calls from work, (She works for an accountant) I cringed because I knew that our taxes were done and she was telling us how much we were going to have to pay! My stomach felt so sick as I was preparing myself to hear how much we were going to have to pay good ol' Uncle Sam. I about fell to the floor when she said we were getting MONEY BACK!!! What....How....Why??? Thank you earned income tax credit!! I seriously cried!! What a blessing. We have been worried sick about this, and are so thankful for this great blessing!! Hevenly Father really knows how much we can handle and doesn't give us more than we can take. Not that we have it that bad, but one more thing and I swear I would have totally lost it! We feel so relieved and are thankful that our Hevenly Father knows us and loves us.

Family Outing

Going to the mountains and shooting guns is a typical family outing for the Peterson household. It was kinda nice outside so we decided to take advantage of the day and head for the hills (McCammon) and shoot guns and have lunch. Teague is really into shooting the 22 at bottles, with dads help of course. He loves going to retrieve the bottle and seeing all the holes in it. He exclaims out loud, " Teague did it". He is always on cloud nine and thinks he is so BIG! Being the only girl its a good thing that I enjoy this as well! We had fun getting out of the house and enjoying some fresh mountain air.

He loves to pack around his "Noclars" and spot deer, and other animals. We ended up seeing eight deer jump over a fence. A coyote run across the road. Quite a few rock chucks siting on rocks.

Happy little boy, enjoying the outdoors

Like Father Like Son.... enough said

We went on a walk and found a huge puddle, so of course we had to throw rocks in it. I didn't take my camera on the walk, regretfully and missed some great pictures. But he had so much fun finding rocks as close to the water as he could get of course, and throwing them in the water. I love how something so simple as throwing rocks in a mud puddle can be so much fun and liven every ones spirits. All three of us sat there throwing rocks in the puddle laughing, talking, and muddy for 30 minutes.

I love my boys and the memories we make on a simple little trip to the mountains. I am so grateful to be the wife and mommy of my two specials boys!!! Now if this weather would only warm up and quite snowing so we could enjoy so many more days like this!!
