Everyday Adventures

We got to go hang out with this cute boy and his mom the other day. This little stud is Mason. I love his dark features, he is the complete opposite of blonde Teague. He has a cute personality already as well. I hadn't seen him for 3 months. He sure has gotten big!! They are living in Maryland right now, so it was extra special to be able to hang out with them for a while.

Sarah, Teague, and Mason playing with Scooby Doo. I couldn't get the kids to look at the camera.
Poor Sarah just wanted to play with Teague and he wasn't having it. He is shy when he is around new people.

This is the beauty that I drove around Fred Meyer just to keep him entertained. Oh the things we do for our sanity. It was like driving a semi. I was running into everything. My Mom, Sisters, and I were shopping in Twin Falls for the kids 4th of July outfits. This was our last stop and Teague in previous stores ran around like a mad man. He loves to hide under the clothes racks, run up and down isles (away from mom), he even found a rack they hung clothes on on the ground and preceeded to run around and hit things with it. The rack was almost taller than he was and pretty heavy for a 14 month old. But you know what I didn't even care. I knew he had it, but didn't take it away because he was entertained and somewhat staying put in one place. I told Jerica I remember seeing "those Moms" in the store and thinking why can't they control their kid. Haha I now know you CAN'T. You do what you have to do to survive. We will either have to limit our shopping to a few stores, or Teague will have to be left home. By the end of the day we were all run ragged. Thank goodness for Ellie who helped keep him entertained. We tried to find him a ball to play with in every store. His new thing is that anything remotly round is a ball. He loves to play with balls, and repeates it a million times a day. I think we have an athlete on our hands!!

This picture explaines how this adventure went........

Ellie and I took Teague to Story Book park to play but it really didn't work out so well. He was so grouchy, and it was way too hot. He fell asleep in the car and we had to wake him up when we got there. Not a wise decision on our part. I thought it would be ok because once he saw all the toys and slides he would love it. WRONG WRONG WRONG We let him run around for a while but in the end decided we would bring him back after he has 1.Eaten 2. Had a nap 3. Not so hot

Kyle and I took Teague to the zoo in Pocatello. I had heard that it wasn't that great of a zoo, but I was really disappointed. They had absolutley nothing!! Kyle on the other hand loved it. The animals they had were; elk, deer, buffalo, big horn sheep, mountain goats, bears, coyote, quail, saige grouse, bears, lynx, geese, ducks, and peacocks. I say lets just take a drive to the mountains and find them on our own. If I go to the zoo I want to see elephants, zebras, lions, tigers etc.. To top it off all the cool animals were asleep. The bears were the most exciting animal and they were both asleep. Teague still loved being outside and it was a good adventure for us.

Look at this BIG BOY!! He loved climbing this big toy with his daddy by his side. He liked exploring everything and checking things out. We dumped a ton of gravel out of his shoes. I gave him a hair cut and it made him look alot older. Seems like he keeps doing that to me.
Last but not least here is Teague "MOOING" like a cow. We found some cows at the zoo and couldn't get him to leave. Listen carefully its kinda hard to hear him.

We love hanging out as a family and always seem to have a lot of fun!! We are excited for the 4th of July Weeked and all the fun it brings.

Camping...Raining.. Fishing...Playing

Fathers Day weekend we went to Sublet to go camping. I was really excited because I hadn't been camping since Teague was born. Kyle and I both really enjoy the outdoors and all the fun that goes with it. We all had such a great weekend. We loaded up 4-wheelers, pontoon boats, and lots of food. How could you not have a good time!! Here are a few of the things that we enjoyed while we were there.

Teague loves brooms. He enjoyed sweeping the grass. It kept him entertained while we were busy doing other things. Look how cute he is in his camo and wranglers. Teague was patiently waiting for us to get the fishing pole together. Look how many layers he had on. It was a cold weekend!!

Jerica and Saige came up for the day on Friday. We had a blast with them both. This is what Saige did most of the day, napped in the great outdoors. She did good all day for how young she is. But then that night decided that she didn't like camping anymore. To say the least Jerica left that night with a not so "Happy Camper"!

We had a great time sitting by the fire and roasting hot dogs, and marshmallows. What great memories were created sitting by the fire with the whole family together.

This is what my poor dad spent most of his time doing while us girls were fishing.......

.bated hooks
.untangled line
.unhooked us from trees, rocks, bushes etc. etc.
. cleaned the fish once we caught them (thank goodness :)

Our family fishing. Kyle- hansom in all his get up. Me-Being girly. Teague- Being his cute self.

Kyle really enjoyed Fly Fishing. He caught a ton of fish. My dad and Kyle went out one morning and caught quite a few fish. Kyle would go through a hole and catch a bunch of fish, then my dad would go through the same exact spot and not catch any. Kyle always has good luck fishing.

Gavin really enjoyed riding the 4-wheelers around everywhere. This picture explains both of their goofy personalities. Teague loves his uncle Gavin. He makes mom nervous with the things they do, but Teague isn't scared he loves every minute of it!

Poor little Teague all smeared in sun screen. It was really hot that day and I didn't want him to get burned. Teagers in all of his camo, wanting a ride. He got really sick this night. I think it was a combination of way too much sun, teething, and no naps. He had a really high fever, and a sick tummy. He just kept holding his mouth and crying. The three nights we were there he didn't sleep all night. The last night we were there I remember closing my eyes, but don't think that I ever went to sleep.

We played a lot of ladder ball. It is a way fun game. Gavin smoked us all every time. And Teague just wanted to play with the balls the whole time. He made it pretty difficult. He wasn't satisfied with the tennis ball, he wanted the ones we were playing with. He would pick them up and start hanging them off his neck.

The whole family went on a 4-wheeler ride through the mountains. We were following Gavin, which might have been our first mistake. ;) He took us on some pretty rough terrain, and a few really I mean really steep hills!! I was afraid that Ellie was going to fall of the back of the 4-wheeler we were on! Kyle and Teague we on a 4-wheeler together, and Teague loved it. When we got up in the mountains pretty far it was freezing cold and really windy. Everyone else decided to go back, and I went with Gavin to go a different way. It started raining and we ended up getting soaked. We decided to head back and see how fast we could make it down the mountain. It was a blast, we went through mud puddles and sped down the hill way too fast! You can't tell how wet we really were in this picture. Teague was in heaven everyday, he went on seriously like 20 4-wheeler rides a day. We all took our turns taking him.

My fish that I caught. We caught 4 fish all together and took them back to camp and ate them for dinner. It was freezing but the fishing was pretty good. This picture of Kyle and Teague is my favorite!! Teague insisted on having his own fishing pole. He would stand there and whack at the water. He thought that he was such a big boy. He does everything that his daddy does. Kyle has a little shadow, and Teague couldn't have a better example to follow. I am so grateful for Kyle and the example and great father that he is. Teague has the best dad in the world, what a lucky boy. I am also grateful for my dad and for all that he does for us. He too is a wonderful example to everyone around him, and such a hard worker. He is a giver, and never expects anything in return. My father-in-law is another great example we have in our lives. He does everything quietly and doesn't expect to be praised. He works hard, and likes to play even harder with the kids, and grand kids. Teague and I are lucky to have such special men in our lives. We had such a great weekend. It was so nice to get away and be in the beautiful mountains. Hopefully we can do it again soon. Thanks Mom & Dad for such an awesome weekend!!

Date Night & Mountain Air

Kyle and I brought Ellie back with us to Pocatello for the weekend. It worked out so great, we got to go on a date!! We decided to go out to dinner and then catch a movie! We haven't been to a theater for 14 months. The last time I was pregnant with Teague. Wow that's a really long time!! Thank goodness for Red Box.We rarely go anywhere without the little man in tow. We love him to death, but it was so nice to go out with my hubby by myself!! Teague didn't act very nice for Aunt Ellie, he thought he would give her a run for her money. The movie only had about 5-10 minutes left when it went crazy and turned off. It was so intense and getting to where the whole movie would finally make since, and it went black. At first we thought the movie had ended like that and we were mad. But we soon realized that it had quite working. I have never had that happen. It took a while but they finally got it working. Needless to say we were a little later than we had planed on. It was a great night of Mexican food, and a good movie with my best friend and love of my life.

We were all wanting to get out of the house today and thought it would be fun to drive up to the mountains and eat foil dinners. Ellie had never had one before so it was a special treat for her. ;) The weather wasn't all that great today, but it at least waited for us to finish eating our dinners before it started to really pour. Teague loved running around and getting all muddy. We found sticks for daddy to put in the fire. Went on a walk up the hill. Found a little baby squirrel to watch run around. (Which he "mooed" at the whole time) Ate dirt!! Yummy! Played with his tennis ball. Watched the fire, and repeated the word "HOT" more times than any of us could count.

I love being in the mountains, it is my favorite thing ever. It was so peaceful and quiet, and it smelled so wonderful since it was raining. I really enjoyed being with my family, and it was so fun to have Ellie there with us. She is our entertainment with just about anything we do. Teague adores her, and she is so good with him. What a wonderful day. I have so much to be thankful for. I am so grateful for this beautiful earth, and for my precious family I get to enjoy it with!!!
